Gregory Edward Smith (born July 6, 1983) is a Canadian-American actor, writer and director who portrayed as Ephram Brown on the television series Everwood from 2002 to 2006.
Smith has since appeared in several Hollywood films, and has become best known for his roles as Alan Abernathy in Small Soldiers and more recently as Dov Epstein on the hit police drama series Rookie Blue.
Career
Actor
Smith began acting when he was fourteen months old, and appeared in a Tide television commercial and in store catalogues. After a role in the 1994 children's film Andre, he starred in the 1995 direct-to-video release Leapin’ Leprechauns! and its 1996 sequel, Spellbreaker: Secret of the Leprechauns. Also in 1996, Smith appeared opposite Michelle Trachtenberg in Harriet the Spy
Director
Smith made his film directing debut in 2013 with his short film Method.
Making his television directing debut, along with his acting role on the show, he also directed five episodes of Rookie Blue.
In 2015, Smith directed two episodes of the CW's Arrow. That year, he also directed several episodes of the Canadian supernatural medical drama Saving Hope. He directed two episodes of the medical drama once again in 2017.
In 2016, Smith directed two episodes of the premiere season of CW's Legends of Tomorrow.
