Background

Christopher Michael Pratt was born on June 21, 1979 in Virginia, Minnesota, the youngest child of Kathleen Louis and Daniel Clifton Pratt. Chris was raised in Lake Stevens, Washington, where he placed fifth in a high school state wrestling tournament; however after dropping out of college and taking jobs (even making his own business), Pratt found homeless in Maui, Hawaii and after being discovered by Rae Dawn Chong, found himself in the world of acting!

At 19 years old, he was cast in Chong's directorial debut, the short horror film Cursed Part 3, which was filmed in Los Angeles. Pratt's first regular television role was as Harold Brighton "Bright" Abbott on the series Everwood from 2002 to 2006, then after this cancellation, he joined the cast of The O.C. for its fourth season, playing activist Winchester "Ché" Cook.

In 2009, Pratt began playing Andy Dwyer on the NBC comedy series Parks and Recreation. Originally meant to be a temporary character, producers liked Pratt so much they asked him to become a series regular. Since then, he has been offered many film roles which only furthered his career like Peter Quill in Guardians Of The Galaxy, Emmett in The Lego Movie, Owen Grady in Jurassic World, Josh Farraday in The Magnificent Seven and Jim Preston in Passengers (alongside Jennifer Lawrence!). Today he is one of the most sought after actors in Hollywood but still maintains his amazing sense of humour and down-to-earth personality.
